Wll, it seems the bank paid my property taxes like a good little mortgage servicer, and my brief panic attack (spaced out over small moments the last few weeks) was for nought.
I also bit the bullet this morning and e-filed my taxes before I trooped into work this morning. Turbo Tax wanted $50 to file them, and while I'll fork over $10 (which I finally did, with another service), I'm not about to open my wallet for highway robbery when the government is already getting money out of me.
Which they would anyway, as they do twice a month from my paychecks, it's just the annoyance of paying more on top of that that gets to me. Of course, on the other hand, if I did get a refund, then I've basically been lending the government money at no interest, and that is similarly vexing.
