The Long Weekend, Part the Cheesecake

I'd pretty much just crawled out of bed this morning and onto the bus. Workout clothes and sweats to change into in my bag, and my foresight reached as far as a shopping bag and and the coupon for a free pint of Ben&Jerry's. I just realized I forgot the ice cream.
So I trundled off the bus (right after this hot guy heading for the UVillage. Why do they always show up when you look like ass? Is this a rule or something?) and did my little run/walk thing on the treadmill down at the IMA. Which, woo! Not so much with the lazy. I think my brain hates running - I can't distract myself with fic thoughts when running. Fortunately, I have an even older method to fall back on, which is why I found myself mentally fighting Thread on the back of my dragon while my feet jogged away. It was like I was ten again, riding 'round the track on my little yellow bike (so of course I rode a queen, dontcha know?) and closing my eyes tight for three seconds when I went between. Ah, good times.
Showered and moderately human, I wandered off towards the Master Gardener's Plant Sale, which made me really wish I had about a million dollars and a really big yard. Or an estate. I could deal with an estate. (Of course then, I'd just hire it done and get to look at the awesome results while reading from my immense library, so really, whatever.) The only thing I was looking at was the herb and plant starts, and the tomatoes (that I shouldn't really plant until the end of May anyway) that I started in my window weren't much behind the ones they were selling. So I trotted off to the grocery, bought eggs and milk, forgot the ice cream and bused home.
Made cheesecake and breakfast (but not cheesecake *for* breakfast - it needed to cool, and that's the only reason it didn't get eaten immediately) and then computer games and a nap happened, but not all at once.
