Rediscovering the morning
May. 3rd, 2004 10:33 amSometime in January I lost the battle to the morning darkness, and through most of February and March, it was a battle to get out of bed before 8.
Nowadays, the light starts filtering in through the shades at 5:30 or so, and that kickstarts my waking process. I love spring. I can savor the mornings again, pottering around my home in comfortable coolness, leaving my tea mug in startlingly odd places, being slavishly adored by the cats. They're not so frantic in the mornings, having snuggled up next to me all night. So long as I feed Hobbes first thing to allay the whining, they're adorable.
Now I just need to get in the habit of wandering over to my P-Patch in the mornings for a bit of watering before the heat hits.
My boss is gone all day today, so why am I running around changing printer settings instead of slacking off? Why?
