Hee. Just so you know, we decided in our Tech Support meeting today that we were a Cabal. *snerk* It is to be amused.

We're almost to the end of Genesis in class today, and I only restrained myself from bringing up Margaret Atwood (Handmaid's Tale) and Lois McMaster Bujold (Chalion series) with supreme effort. The Chalion series was a more tangential sort of reference, but looking at the difference between Abraham 'Sure God, how high' and Jacob 'you sure you want that blessing?' really highlighted a point Bujold seemed to be making with how her Saints functioned - willful people were unlikely to be vessels for the gods because there wasn't any room for them (Jacob), while saints were more... empty, I suppose. Good discussion, and I'm now ahead on the reading, so all is well.

Work remains hectic, which will likely be the usual through August. We're looking forward to the dreaded Inventory, and while it's a trial by fire for the new people, we simply won't be able to do it without them.

Bugged the manager (by accident! I swear!) on his day off, but my 'oops, sorry, nevermind' still paid off, and he handed over the Amazon box with City of Heroes just now. Woo! Time sink, Ho!
