Sunday morning slouch

Up and productive at 8. What is wrong with me!?

My intentions were such when I went to bed, but a screaming headache had me up until 2ish. Fortunately, I had napped, so I'm feeling fairly well.

I've been over to the p-patch, and the tomatoes are all in (save the one poor thing I snapped off at the roots - oops) and what peppers were worthy of it - two had died off in the windowsill, and I had a dozen starts to begin with - do I really need that many peppers?

Laundry in the wash, and I should eat something and call Meg to see if/when she needs me over there. Otherwise I'll just inch Ottersfire further towards 40.

It's lovely and cool outside - cloudy, but not so cold I don't feel fine in my new summer uniform - bra top camisole and sarong. Must hunt down more sarongs.

Done and done in

Meg and John finally got out of their film and came by to kidnap me and force me to do manual labor for them. Whee! Fun!

Said manual labor was stripping the sod off their parking strip and front hill of their lawn, which I mostly watched while digging out dandelions from the remaining lawn, and then once the sod was off to the dump, we planted sixteen billion daylillies and other plants. We got most of the front hill planted, and the parking strip cleared off and then I was done. Sit me down and feed me and call me a turnip, 'cause that's how much more blood you'd get out of me.

Gosh, that's fun. Now Gregg and Pete need to invite me over to do yard work for them.

Meg's told me I have two more years to get a house - that's how long I have until the daylillies will need dividing. What's cool is that some half of them are from seeds my Mom gave them from the house in Kansas.

Now I just need to get up early enough tomorrow to purple my hair before heading back to Meg and John's for their barbeque.
