Oh frabjous day!
Jul. 29th, 2005 02:25 pmThis week? All about the glee.
I caught a glimpse of SGA on tv over the weekend - part two of the season 2 starter, so already I was handicapped by not seeing the first bits of either season or show, and then there were these *commercials* all over the place! What is with the networks these days? I couldn't even fast forward through them. Sheesh. So spoiled by dvds. But I hopped onto Netflix and added the first season to my queue, only to find they're not even out yet. What's that you say? Stymied? Hah!
Mmm. Torrents. *pets the shiny SGA* I've only seen the first three episodes now, what with finally getting Flameswind to level 60 on WoW, and boosting some of my lowbies to 20. But I've raided crack_van for recs and I'm back in the saddle for a slash pairing after all the het in LotR and HP. McKay is way hot with the geekness (and he's Canadian! Glee!) and Sheppard is just way hot. Reminds me of Peter Wingfield in a way.
That was glee part the first.
Glee part the second was getting the email from my cousin that they'd found my grandmother's wedding band (she hasn't been able to wear her rings in a year or two) and I'm getting it! Mineminemine! I got the box of her sewing and knitting stuff that had just been lying around (anyone want a 60" tape measure? I have a good dozen now) yesterday, but now there's a box of more goodies coming my way! In them is a mink coat, which I don't think fits me, and hey, August! I'll probably sell it, as it's not exactly useful or of sentimental value as the ring is.
Glee part the third: Date! My yearly trawl through the pool of Seattle Geekdom has netted me a date, and I'll be meeting him at the pub down in the UVillage tonight.
Glee part the fourth - oh, yes, I'm not even done yet! Weber and Flint have finally come out with their next book in the Belisarius series! Won't be released until February, but wait! I have an Advanced Reader copy in my hot little hands even now! All praise Baen, who lack the fuckwittedness about ecopies so prevalent in publishing. *pets her Palm*
