Birthday week
Aug. 11th, 2005 10:07 amIf this were a Regency novel, I'd be in all black for another 6 months, but as it's not... well.
My cousin emailed me about my uncle's passing and her story really touched me. He just slipped away - the baton of my parents had been passed off to my dad, his daughters were with him and it was the most peaceful thing. He's free from pain now.
State of the me: Still a bit sniffly, but mostly fine.
Dru's birthday is today, and I'm taking today and tomorrow off work. Today will be WoWing, tomorrow will be shopping with Ali for my bridesmaid's dress, and Saturday is water park day. I'm contemplating zipping down to the Apple Store sometime. I finally got around to getting the HELOC on my condo to pay off my credit cards, and while it hasn't gone through yet, it's almost done, and I so want that iMac for my birthday. I've ordered the memory; no way am I paying $500 for 2GB when I can pay $200 and install it myself. Mmmm. Memory.
I've finished the Belisarius series (again) - read the new one, then sped through the entire series again. The last book still has me in tears, and I think it may be another Where the Red Fern Grows for me: a damn good book that's also good for a cathartic cry.
Ah! Just checked email!
snorklet came through with the Title 9 info, so I'm off across the street for some shopping before WoW. Mmm. Sports bras :)
