Simple pleasure

Wool is just beautiful stuff. Seriously. I bought a fleece, and the fiber is delicious, but raw, it's tinged yellow and the ends are a wee bit icky. Since I don't have a washing machine of my own, I have to wash the fiber in a little tub, getting the water just hot enough to hurt and NO agitation. 15 minutes of soaking and it comes out this lovely snowy white.

I'm itching to try out my new carders, but I have to wait until it dries. Should take long - overnightish on the sweater/dryer/rack/thing - the salad spinner gets out most of the water, so it's just fluffy and damp right now.

Holy Crap. I am such a moron. My brain truly has leaked out my nose.

Pratchett was a the University today, and I completely spaced on it. Completely. Not a brain in my skull.

Gah.

Fortunately, he's up at Third Place Books tomorrow, so I can still partake of the Pratchetty goodness.
