Bah. Mondays.
Oct. 3rd, 2005 01:22 pmBack in the swing of things at work - I've refound my habit of entering all my help desk calls into our tracking system (I get out of the habit when I become insanely busy) and let's see: 15 open tickets. Whee!
The latest addition to my household showed up Tuesday last: my new spinning wheel, Athena. 'Thena's an Ashford Traveller double-drive double treadle, and she took some putting together. I had to get a cordless drill to screw those last bits together, and I didn't get the spindle tweaked properly for spinning until last night, with a little WD-40 and now she's just a dream.
My latest knitting project is a baby blanket for my cousin's new baby. She was 5 weeks early, so I have an excuse for being late with the blanket. The yarn is a very soft cotton boucle, in purple and gold, and I've gotten asked if it's for a Husky baby twice already. She's rather small, and I hadn't even thought about the UW school colors - they just aren't pink or blue, and her brother got orange and green already. (My cousin tells me he still wears the orange top and green hat I got him - he's 2, and they're sized for 6-12 mo.) Baby knitting is nice - you get to work with silkysoft yarns, and the projects are all small, so they finish quickly!
Game-wise, I owe Lori the notes from the last session, hopefully before our next session starts. And I should finish off my character sheet. Also before Saturday. Eep!
In WoW, I think I'm a bit burnt out on the mage. I've been having fun soloing my hunter and my paladin, though, and I really want to get the pally to 40th so she can wear plate armor and ride her horse.
