Desk Rage (as opposed to Road Rage)
Aug. 25th, 2006 11:20 amI really haven't been feeling journalish lately, but spikes of anger seem to do it.
So apparently, talk radio fills me with rage. Not just the frustrated 'kill all the politicians' rage I get like whenever I talk or think much about politics. No, that's what I get if I actually listen. No, I hate talk radio with the fury of a thousand burning novas because it's this low drone that sounds just like talking that *makes* me listen to it - only it's just low enough I can't make it out clearly and there's no beat or rhythm that I can shunt it to the background like white noise. AND, to add injury to insult, my coworker leaves it on when he leaves the room and I CAN'T SHUT IT OFF!!! *huffhuff*
Well, without chucking the damn computer out the window, and they're repairing the roof just below my window, so I'd likely get in trouble for that.
