Le Sock (and other perversions of French)
Mar. 27th, 2007 10:38 amI finished one of my socks on Friday night - on the way to Home Depot to get the shower enclosure Dru's putting up for me tomorrow. I wish I had a picture of it, I'm pretty proud of the feather and fan-ness, but my camera hates me. I may half-frog it, though. While it's very pretty, I knit to the end of my yarn, and so it's too tight where my calf starts expanding. I cast on the second sock Saturday night on my way to the WoW meetup, so I'm putting off the decision until I finish the foot and heel of the sock and get to the patterned leg.
In a fit of sock solidarity, I'm wearing the second pair of socks I ever knit (the first pair is laughably unmatched - as I got more comfortable with dpns from one sock to the next, my gauge tightened up - the first sock is loose and too big, while the second is just right.)
The weekend was not as productive as I'd have liked - I didn't get my Quicken updated, although I found the last document I needed to finish my taxes. I'm still a little burnt out on WoW; I'm not sure why. The Meetup was fun - far fewer people there than last month (not that I attended last month's, but we were all there at the same pub for Rinna-celebrating.) but it was a good time to get out of the house and chatter about WoW.
And instead of Quicken or WoW, I rediscovered my Civ3 game *headdesk* Silly Misha.
