Questioning the Collective Consciousness
Jul. 14th, 2007 07:39 pm*poke*poke* Are my internets back?
Looks like. Funnily, my connection weirdness this afternoon wasn't even during gaming hours - I was trying to look up decent focaccia and ciabatta recipes. Thinking of which, I've got Epicurious, Cooks.com and Recipe Source all bookmarked, what does the collective consciousness swear by? I've been thinking about getting a subscription to Cooks Illustrated - I like what I've seen of their magazines, but I'm also thinking about the web subscription and just picking up the year's worth hard bound at the end of a year (because while I love the magazines, they're too damn floppy!) I haven't seen America's Test Kitchen (which shall be remedied, assuming the request went through on the Library website) - how does it stack up against other cooking shows?
Anyhoo, I made and froze pizza dough and the biga for the ciabatta is resting in the fridge. It's about time to go out to the garden and pick tonight's salad (oh, and water.) Fresh lettuce with goat cheese, dried berry/raisin assortment (thank you Trader Joe's) and a sweet vinaigrette. Numnum.
