One of the perks of my job is that occasionally, instead of being cheap-ass bastards trying to hang onto the oldest, most broken technology, the doctors here order the newest and shiniest things. I just got to setup a new Mac Pro with a 30" monitor. I had to take a moment. And then he let me play with his new iPhone.

Slickest PDA interface *EVER*. And this is the same week I'd had to figure out someone's Blackberry ringtones for her (never having touched a Blackberry before) and then play around with the test model Blackberry we're batting around IT.

Seriously, the iPhone is hands-down, the neatest, most responsive little machine. It doesn't have a touchy-tactile, sense, but it clicks, which is tricksy and makes it *feel* tactile... which makes sense inside my head at least.

Pity it's not really geared for enterprise rollout and encrypted up the wazoo (which my boss would prefer.) We're getting Blackberrys at work. Le sigh. Still, I am looking forward to rev 2 and maybe a drop (or 3) in price to put it within my reach. Cause it seriously kicks ass.
