Dru's Nursing classmates are a seriously awesome group of people. He called me up last night before 4, and invited me out for their post-finals bash. I scurried over after 5 and they were still commanding one corner of the patio at the Eastlake Bar and Grill. I'm still a whirl of names, but I can connect a few faces after this. I don't think it'll matter much - even though they have classes and clinics in my building, we rarely pass in the halls. I see Dru fleetingly at best.

I slipped out a few hours later when they all decided to go roller skating (and then dancing.) but I had a blast just meeting them. Dru was a few sheets to the wind, and he's such a card. These guys have only had the one quarter of classes and clinics, and they've all got stories to tell, but my brother, first clinic out, caught poop in his hands. Double handful, right there. And of course, he's telling this full voice in the middle of (ok, patio, so only a few tables near us) the restaurant.

Funnily, after many formative years being mistaken for twins, some of his classmates claimed they couldn't see the resemblance between us.

I've got a baby shower to scurry off to soon, so I'd better sew up that baby jacket and skedaddle.
