Bit of an update
Oct. 15th, 2007 10:40 pmSo I'm a bit tired of the whole condo-selling thing by now. Had a dead weekend and another looker just this afternoon, where I scrambled home from work with much panic and heavy breathing (not the fun kind either) and all for 10 minutes of the prospective buyer's time.
I took Saturday off of being ready for lookers anyway - I had my cell with me, but I put in an hour at the last work party for the P-Patch for the year (and whether or not I'm keeping the patch is another decision entirely) and then headed down to John and Meg's to help them with their fence. I don't know how much actual help I gave them, but it sure was nice to feel helpful and productive, and good company on a sunshiney afternoon is priceless.
Sunday I did a bit of desultory cleaning up, but mostly I WoWed. Got my hunter up to 66 and 350 leatherworking, and did my first heroic instance on my mage. It's funny - the bosses went down quick and easy, but we had trouble with the trash.
I'm in a class - one of three this year towards a certificate in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. I managed to completely space the first class, despite having two coworkers in with me, one of whom said he'd see me that night as he left work for the day. First bumps aside, I'm really enjoying it. The book-reading is mind-numbing, but easily skimmed, and the real value is in the guest lecturers and the projects we're tackling. Right now we're writing our own Remote Access Policy, and it's neat to wrap my brain around it at a higher level than what I have to deal with at work.
