Dear Sis: What do I do now?

mishadayMost of the time my brother is this tall, wiry outdoorsman with a ready laugh and a very sly sense of humor. I adore him completely, with a side of wry amazement that I'm related to this cool, funny guy. And so when he calls me to ask my advice about a girl, and shows me his gooey marshmallowy insides, I'm just all guh with the incoherence.
Poor Dru. I haven't had a relationship in five years, and he's asking me advice about this girl! What gets me even more is that she's got the same first name!
I really don't know what to say to him, either. He's obviously going head over heels for her, but he'll be in California for EMT training in a couple of weeks, then heading to Alaska for Denali and then to Seattle. She enjoys spending time with him, even likes our parents (though, really, we have awesome parents) and sends him gooey emails, but she 's moving to Dallas for six months and then to the East Coast for grad school.
She's obviously not stupid enough to give up grad school for him (even if he is my brother, I can't advocate that) but how much of a chance does the poor boy fare over a two or three year separation? They aren't even really dating - she had a boyfriend when Dru met her in the Peace Corps, and was living with her parents in Albequerque when Dru got back, which is at least three and a half hours from Pagosa. I've never met her, but she sounds good for him, and listening to him talk about her sets all my internal romance klaxons alight.
It's funny though - I'm halfway through the story of how our aunt and uncle wrote to each other for two years while he was in the army in Germany, and then I stop. "Hell, you know all the family stories. Why am I repeating them for you? You can either take the moral of the story or not."
I just hope she realizes what a treasure she has in him.
