The zen of cooking
Nov. 22nd, 2001 11:01 amIt never fails. I moved the turkey from the freezer to the fridge two days ago, and it's still solid. Grr. The only time this didn't happen was when we ordered the turkey and picked it up the day before. Note to self: shoot yourself the next time you put a turkey in the freezer.
Of course, this also means that I'm fairly well practiced at thawing turkeys quickly and revising my little timetable (the one I magically produced out of thin air by simply staring at my rack of cookbooks this morning) to accomodate the turkeycicle.
So things are moving along, with the requisite bumps. The stuffing is nearly ready, and then I can move onto the rolls and the potatoes, and twiddle my thumbs until the turkey pops out. Or something.
