(no subject)

Still sniffly, but my body seems to like sixteen-odd hours of sleep, so it woke me up about five minutes before my alarm went off. Urk. Weird dreams, too, per my usual when I'm sick - I was taking a comp sci course from the female law professor from Legally Blonde, and my lab partner was Kevin Richardson. Didn't help that my laptop was crashing, but hey - I can code in my sleep, right? Surely I can do a simple conditional statement on the chalkboard... scary things was, I did.

Chuckles left me a couple of messages on my work phone yesterday, and I was so excited to see the message light this morning! I thought maybe someone had called about my car, but no. No. Fuckwit wants more respect. Ali was 'kind of nasty'. Grr. Makes my motivation to talk to him and get things resolved drop to exactly nil.

In the meantime, I'm madly copying new Office cds, since ours seem to walk off on a regular basis. It's legal - cause, hey - site license.

Oh, and while I'm at it, and still haven't hit Post: A Highlander Mary Sue Parody *g*

Improvement

Still sniffly. Call it a 6.5 on the sick-o-meter (10 being perfect health, 0 being dead.)

However, I'm all bouncy - first, and foremost, I'm fed. Fed with yummy gyros and back at my desk with lots of warm tea. I called Gordon up to make him come to lunch with me, so I could get out and eat good food instead of cafeteria, and have someone to actually talk to.

And I made two rent deposits, so I feel accomplished, and the landlord called me instead of me having to make the call, so I feel very superior in making him fix things (or at least promising to on Monday), and the U put our W-2's in with the paychecks today. Wohoo! I can almost do taxes!

I still need the W-2 from the consulting company for the foundation, where I was paid squat, had no vacations, but had enough techie toys to play with to stay anyway. It will come soon, and then I will make the government give me money back (She says, crossing her fingers.) Hehee. Good times.
