Winter Cleaning
Jan. 27th, 2002 07:12 pmI'm doing everything except what I'm supposed to be doing. I've finished up a hilarious SG-1 fic that met Bridget Jones' Diary and had its' lovechild, I vacuumed the back staircase, attempted to watch tv (five minutes of trains and avalanches in the Sierras, five of Xena and only four minutes of Murder She Wrote, and I was running back to my chilly little fic-nest upstairs), cleaned the downstairs catbox, and played a game of solitaire.
I've come to the conclusion that solitaire is best played on a computer. Physical cards suck when it's just you. The snap and ruffle of the deck just isn't fulfilling when not accompanied by people to marvel at (or ignore) my stupendous card-handling skills. (Or, y'know, guffaw when I inadvertently try to start a game of 52-pickup.)
