I couldn't even PARK!
Jul. 4th, 2002 09:24 pmI scampered out of here a little while ago - after my nap, whereby I managed to miss some House skerfluffle. I wish I knew a guaranteed way of making Lori smile, but when I don't, I try and keep out of her way. Anyway, my main purpose was to go over and visit Sophia-kitty, make sure she was fed, the plants watered and all that.
Got detoured way. the hell. around Gasworks Park, where they're setting up for the fireworks on Lake Union tonight. PCC was right by the Fremont Bridge, so I popped in and picked up sparkly!green!nail polish as well as the goal: Lysine for Calvin. It's such a pretty green.
Sophia hissed at me when I finally put her down - she doesn't like cuddling. But she's fed, and the plants are watered - took longer than I thought.
So when I finally got home - the parking situation around here had worsened. There'd been signs in Fremont and Wallingford for parking - churches and the lot charging for the use of their slots for the evening, but it hadn't really registered - we're a good mile or two from Gasworks, we wouldn't need to worry...
Hah. Cars are circling the blocks up here like vultures. I only managed to squeeze into a space two blocks from the house because John's Rav4 is a tiny little thing. Hah, I say.
Half hour to the fireworks show. I wonder what everyone else is up to.
