Well, hell.
Jan. 11th, 2004 11:42 amShit.
There I'd been, all happy that I'd delayed grad school a year, because school and moving and house-buying would have sucked, and now I'm getting my new application done, and I've just realized - they've discontinued the evening program for the distance-learning program. This wouldn't be so bad - not needing to scramble upcampus for classes after work, taking things at my own pace and all, except for one thing:
I can't get tuition exemption for distance learning courses.
Shit.
That's $2000/quarter, and I'm still trying to pay off credit card debt and keep up my mortgage.
I might, *might* be able to get the department to pay for a class or two, here and there, since it could be considered job-related, but that's an outside chance at best.
Bleah. On the upside, since there's no chance in hell I could take two years off and do the day program, I don't need to finish my application until March 15th.
