Apr. 25th, 2004 09:24 pmI'm a bit paranoid of floods - we had a few back in my parents' house in Kansas that ruined some of my books, and the water issues in the complex are neverending. Add in the lovely convenience of not needing to root through a dozen boxes because they're all see-through plastic, and I've been slowly converting cardboard to plastic. (Forget actually getting *rid* of things, I'm too much of a pack rat for that.)
Today, I wandered down the Trail and into Storables to see if I could get myself some file boxes. Someone explain to me why the good, black hinged boxes were more expensive than the plain clear plastic boxes?
Other than errandy-bits, today was rosemary day. Rosemary-garlic ciabatta, rosemary-lime-pepper chicken and rosemary-sage stuffing. Picked a few too many sprigs from one of the herb triangles at the P-patch, and decided to go whole hog. The house smells delish.
Still haven't waded through my to-do list like I wanted, but I got a few things done. I did take another gander at the tricolor sweater I started last fall, goofed up and put away until I could fix it. It's a bad enough goof that I"m thinking of just unravelling the whole back and starting over.
Re-blonded my hair, which also helped hide those pesky grey hairs that were popping up on the top of my head. It always surprises me how red it seems when I do that, though it shouldn't, considering how reddish Dru's hair gets. Not quite strawberry blonde, but just a hint.
Meh. Boring. I'll read my new Heyer and go to bed now.
