Field Trip!
May. 25th, 2004 05:08 pmOne of our docs has a new bit of office space hiding over in Fremont, and I needed to go over there to hook up his computer to the group that's wandering around down there. Neither he nor his computer ended up being *there*, which only tells me I should call ahead before I wander places, but it was a lovely trip over and back, and I timed to so that I could take my (somewhat late) lunch hour over there.
I poked my head into Blue C Sushi, which is one of those cute little conveyor-belt sushi joints, which I'd never been into, and I'd just gotten paid, so I decided to splurge. Oh, it was magnificent. I had a deliciously cute waiter hovering over me, and this glorious parade of pretty sushi and edamame, cucumber salad and tempura, all right in front of my nose. Top it off with Jasmine tea and end it up with green tea ice cream, and I really didn't begrudge the $20 lunch one bit. (Eeped a bit at the price tag, but I'd been running a good mental tally of everything I'd snagged off the belt, so it wasn't too much of a surprise. Just eep-age.)
Add in a little walk along the Ship Canal and it was quite the satisfactory jaunt.
Oh, and I have to go back to do the actual printer thing. Don't throw me into that there briar patch!
