Early morning musings

I wish Shakespeare had done something Arthurian. That would have been wicked.

I burnt out on it early on. Basics by Bullfinch, and between Mary Stewart, Gillian Bradshaw and Marion Zimmer Bradley, I'd read all the good stuff early on. The rest? Eh - at its root, it's a tragedy. I don't do tragedy. Plus, Guinevere has bugged the ever-loving shit out of me from the beginning.

But, as Chris pointed out, I should really be more annoyed at Lancelot. Stupid French minstrels.

Urr. Tired like a tired thing. 'tis the season for gazpacho, but none of my bloody tomatoes are ripe yet! Piffle. Will plant some early varieties next year. And maybe not let the volunteers take over the plot.

I am craving blackberry pie right about now.

My will to move was sapped out right about 4 today. And the my boss left me, and we hadn't even finished the surplus weed-through to clear up T's office for the new gal. Two dozen bloody drives to wipe before we're done! Stupid T, leaving his office in shambles.

Stared longingly at both the new iPods and a Victoria vacation site today. Would be money better spent reupholstering the green chair. Also, contemplated Mental Health Day. Would have to plan it, as I've been leaving my books at work.
