David Weber made me cry
Oct. 20th, 2005 07:58 pmI hit up Baen's website yesterday for a poke at their lineup, and found out that his next book, At All Costs, is due out next month. This means I could read it all on my palm now. And apparently I'd been thinking ahead, because I'd already purchased the month's worth of books.
So I got to about chapter 5 or 6 when I realized I hadn't read the last one - Shadow of Saganami. I'd started it on the palm, but since you can see the star map for shit, I got a little confused.
So this morning I picked up Shadow. I read the first chapter with tears in my eyes. There, on the bus, middle of a crowd, and bam, he starts with a gut punch. Ends with one, too, but a good one.
I'm only just holding myself back from finishing AAC tonight, but I have a little more self-control with ebooks than dead tree.
