8pm - bedtime!

Well, not just yet.

I had a delightful lunch with Ali and Nevada, introducing them to the delights of Cedars up on Brooklyn (not to be confused with the Cedars down on 43rd, which is completely different in the not as good way.) Caught up with their lives and completely failed to deliver my father's wedding present to them. Oops? Another time, for sure.

Then dinner out with Dru and Jen, and Dru's college roommate and his cousin from NY, who are all 4 doing the STP Seattle-Portland bike race this weekend. I'll be driving the truck with their gear down to meet them, so I'm getting up at ass o'clock only to putz around Seattle and meet them in Centralia tonight. Mmm. Camping.

Sunday, there will be more putzing, however, I'm going to let myself be lured by the wonders of Powell's. Heh. And maybe meet up with Steph, but who knows how the day will go. Portland is the only definite bit.

Dinner was fun - Dru has this long, rambling way of telling stories, and Jen always teases him about it (otherwise I'd hardly have noticed, 'cause, hey, brother) and he took 40 minutes to tell us all about their climbing adventures in Wyoming recently. Complete with rock-humping and hand/elbow/arm gestures and facial grimaces. I'm usually lost when they talk gear or about the technical aspects, but the wriggling around and squirming up difficult bits is always a hoot.

I get home and my two pieces of mail are postcards - one from an Austin realtor, the other from a Seattle realtor begging for my condo. The latter is the first of the summer season of condo-purchase pleas, which is always a good sign for my equity.
