Urk.

Days like these, I'm glad I set my alarm early on a regular basis. It's that much easier to crawl out of bed a single song in instead of after half the cd's played, and get my ass to work early.

I hadn't finished reloading Jean's machine on Friday, and if I'm early, I get to leave early to, so I nabbed the 7:04 bus and got here before anyone else.

Read a few journal entries from the weekend, load some software, read some fic. When my neurons start firing, I'll put up something about my weekend.

Kitty!

Jean's files are copying, so I'm almost done.

Yesterday I started in on the shawl I'd gotten yarn for a couple of weeks ago. I'd played enough Pharoah to kill a horse, and I needed a break from managing ancient cities, so I laid in the first row watching Princess Bride, curled on my couch. Between PB and a few hours of Buffy, Angel and a dash of DaVinci's Inquest, I got a good five inches done. It's looking good, and it's pretty.

The sewing things got pulled downstairs, but I didn't break out the machines. I also flaked out on Aikido - I wasn't quite sure if the game was Saturday or Sunday, and I didn't want to brave traffic to find out.

Lazy, lazy Sunday.

Saturday, though... Whuff. Let's see, Finished Cetaganda, played Pharoah (big surgprise there), saw Monsters Inc with Ali, and embarrassed myself by attempting to sing at Ozzies.

Ozzie's: Note to self: Walk Like An Egyptian? Hard-ass damn song.
It's not that I particularly enjoy making a fool of myself and fucking up everything but the chorus. Really. And I'm still shaking when I get up to sing.
But in the end, it doesn't matter. And even during, when I can't even keep up with the lyrics on the screen, I still know how to laugh at myself. Squirm moment, won't do this one again, now sashay away from the mic, sit down, and let's hear Lucy sing.

Ali and I took the 7 downtown - door to door service, really, and yes, brain, I am getting rid of the car soon. The previews hit me with all tingly anticipation for Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars to a lesser degree (because, hey, I still have to wait for Star Wars)
The movie was... wow. It left me all happy-cuddly inside, with a little bounce on the side. I'm probably too cheap to see it again in the theater, especially with more good movies releasing in the near future, but I'll definitely hunt down the DVD when it comes out.
Puppies. Cuddly cuteness. Boo. The cute that keeps on giving. Incoherently happy Mishas.
