Discontent

This is the week I meant to start up yoga again, and instead I'm up reading to midnight two nights of three. Idiot.

I've forgotten my usb drive at home Monday and Tuesday, and zap! There went my motivation to work on my campaign journal right after gaming.

WIKTT is a huge list, with a disproportionate number of ninnies constantly posting about the damn archives yo-yoing up and down, and drowning out any sort of intelligent discussion. Morons.

My cell phone's been out for a month and a half now, and I need to cancel the damn thing and buy a new. Which means researching cell phones in Seattle and switching phone numbers and remembering to tell everyone. Sprint PCS is a scabarous, mite-infested, syphilitic weasel who enjoys buggering its customers with chile oil for lube.

Today is one of the days when I intensely hate the majority of Harry Potter fandom. For their inability to spell characters' names correctly, their insistence that WIPs are the normal and desired mode of posting fic, their blind ignorance of basic logic and refusal to at least acknowledge canon before willfully ignoring it, for all this and more, they should burn in a deep firey pit of gelled gasoline. (Over which I can toast marshmallows and cackle delightedly.)

I want to stop switching between my desktop and my laptop, but I don't want to switch my email over from a Mac. Stupid iMacs are too expensive. And I'm too far into debt. Die, debt, die!

I want Dru to come home and get a job so we can afford more house so we can find something already and move and get it over with.

I need to balance my checkbook.

I have too many bloody hobbies and projects whirling around and not nearly enough space at home to do them in or time to do them anyway.

I need to eat before I go grocery shopping or I'll be horrid, but I can't eat as we have no food in the house (thus prompting the need to go grocery shopping.)

Some guy built a harpsichord out of Lego. A harpsichord!

I completely geeked over the thought of a Library Hotel. I mean, if I went to New York, I'd probably stay with my uncle, or my cousin, or hook up with some slashers and go visiting, but the hotel is just too cool for words.

And then some quizzes happened )

1. You can only have/be in one for the rest of your life, choose either an old library filled with books written before 1820 or a new one with books written only after 1960, and why?

AUGH! You know - I had to double check that date, and Austen did indeed, publish all her works before 1820. And there's this huge gap that includes a ton of classic sci-fi that's not even an option. I think, though, that in general, Bujold and Flint would make up a bit for the loss of Austen, and the majority of what I read is modern sci-fi and fantasy, I'd have to go with the new library. (dammit!)

2. Stay in the Matrix or leave it?

Life as I know it or running around underground, never seeing the sun, rebelling against the evil oppressors. First, I think the 'revelation' Neo got was not a fully-informed choice, and with what he knew at that point, I'd opt out. Given the rest of the movie (not even the second), I'd seriously reconsider that move. I'm too lazy to make a good freedom fighter.

3. Favorite pairing and why?

Methos/Krycek will always have a space in my heart, even over the pairing/threesome of the week.

4. First part of the newspaper that you read?

If I have the whole thing, it's the comics, but pretty often I'm reading it in the cafeteria, and I'll read what I can get.

5. You can either have a full body tattoo (to the wrists, neck and ankles) or no tattoos at all, which do you choose and why?

No tattoos. I like tattoos, don't get me wrong, but they're a thing which should be worn in moderation. A full-body tattoo is just too busy to do the canvas justice - it ignores the body itself as part of the art, and that's a shame.

I'm open to more questions if people want to throw them at me. :)
